Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Lead Superintendent for a large Commercial Interior Construction project in New York City. Manage all field operations daily on a project valued from $5–$50M, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality across trades.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on problem solving on-site, with the opportunity to drive project outcomes and coordinate with the project team throughout construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required or equivalent.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project for $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction as a superintendent.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C certification; First Aid/CPR training.
• Experience with safety processes and ability to enforce the safety plan.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates field work plans; updates schedules and contingencies.
• Maintain project documentation and daily reports; manage site logistics and material scheduling.
