Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Learning Coach to guide K–3 students using app-based learning and structured literacy methods. You will manage daily goals, run small-group sessions, and support students through routines from launch to closing on campus.

Requirements include 3+ years with children and documented literacy training, plus US work authorization. The role offers relocation support and full on-site employment with Alpha campuses nationwide.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of direct work with children ages 4–9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, or similar settings.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Willing to work on-site with relocation support.
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning for the majority of the day.
• Willing to work with all K-3 students.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting gaps, asking the right questions, and maintaining daily goals.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students, diagnosing gaps and teaching a designed sequence.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities for six-year-olds.
• Driving students to their weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan.
