Job summary

Alpha seeks a Reading Program Coordinator to drive K‑3 literacy using app-based learning. You will coach groups of 2–4 students, diagnose gaps, and tailor short sequences to close them. Daily routines include morning launch, workshops, and campus life activities, staying with students through lunch and closing.

You’ll mentor peers, push toward weekly app goals, and write data-driven updates for families. This is a full-time on-site role with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus listed above, with relocation support
• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years
• Structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or similar; or a master’s in reading or literacy
• Bachelor’s degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required
• Comfortable spending about 90% of day guiding students through app-based learning
• Willing to work with all K‑3 students, not only struggling readers
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting gaps and unblocking them
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students; diagnose gaps and teach designed sequence
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities for six-year-olds
• Driving students to weekly app goals with leaderboards and gamification
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan for each child
