Alpha is hiring a Learning Coach for K-3 students to drive daily goals using app-based core learning. You will run small-group sessions, diagnose decoding gaps, and craft targeted sequences to close gaps.

This on-site role emphasizes hands-on tutoring, data-driven coaching, and classroom routines from launch to close. The position requires 3+ years with children 4–9 and 2+ years teaching reading in K–3, plus structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead short structured-literacy sessions with two to four students.
• Diagnose phonics/decoding gaps from running records and fluency probes.
• Guide learning through app-based activities and campus routines.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess and closing; adapt plans as needed.
