Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site Early Elementary Teacher. You will work with K-3 students, guiding them through app-based core learning, diagnosing reading gaps, and delivering targeted literacy sessions.

You will lead morning launches and life-skills activities, ensuring students meet daily goals within a structured campus routine. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years working with children 4–9, and structured-literacy training (or a master's in reading).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject. Teaching certificate not required.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or a master's in reading/literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning, identify gaps, and unlock progress.
• Run short, structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students; diagnose gaps using running records and fluency probes.
• Lead morning launch, workshops, and check-chart activities to keep young students engaged.
• Drive students to weekly app goals using rewards systems and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch and closing, offering plan-based support for frustrated or reluctant learners.
