Job summary

Alpha is hiring an Academic Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy learning at a campus, diagnosing gaps and designing short sequences to close them. You will monitor progress, lead structured sessions, and ensure students meet daily goals from launch to close.

The role requires 3+ years with children and 2+ years teaching reading, plus structured-literacy training or a literacy master’s. Relocation support and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct work with children ages 4-9 in coaching or teaching roles.
• 2+ years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Structured-literacy training or a literacy master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Willing to work on-site with relocation support and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Coaching K-3 students through app-based core learning and closing gaps.
• Diagnosing decoding gaps from running records and fluency probes.
• Lead structured literacy sessions for small groups (2–4 students).
• Maintain daily goals and transfer learning to independent work.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing for ongoing support.
