Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills. This on-site role supports K-3 students with structured app-based literacy, guiding them from launch to closing.

We seek experienced guides with real passion for reading and proven ability to close gaps. Relocation support is available for listed campuses; full-time W2 with benefits is offered in the US.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years directly working with children ages 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, etc.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in K-3, in the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; a teaching certificate is not required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning, spotting gaps, and guiding progress.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students and diagnosing gaps.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Driving students to weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, managing frustration with plans.
