Job summary

Mobiz IT is seeking a dependable Level 1 IT Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support at a client’s production facility in Ottawa, IL. You will bridge remote IT support with engineering teams, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues at ground level.

The role requires strong customer service, 3+ years in help desk or desktop support, and comfort working on-site in a manufacturing environment. Proactive problem-solving and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in IT/CS is preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft endpoint management are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues (PCs, printers, scanners, etc.).
• Install and configure Windows/macOS and standard business apps.
• Set up and deploy workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity (wired/wireless).
• Maintain accurate asset records and support docs.
• Deliver excellent on-site customer service.
