AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, MD is seeking an IT Field Support Specialist to provide advanced Tier 2/3 on-site and remote support for workstations, servers, printers, and conferencing equipment. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, 3–5 years IT experience, and 8570 certification (Security+ preferred).

You will conduct site surveys, document configurations, assist hardware installation, train users, and collaborate with IT teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of relevant IT experience.
• 8570 Certification; Security+ certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and 3 support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely.
• Conduct comprehensive site surveys; prepare diagrams and configuration changes for transparency.
• Analyze hardware requirements; prepare procurement specs and installation schedules.
• Prepare site installation/test reports; support network upgrades with new hardware and cabling.
• Build and install specialized cables for site needs; train staff on hardware usage.
• Maintain and support fiber modems, multiplexers, and telecom systems; ensure connectivity.
• Adhere to SOPs; use ticketing systems for issue tracking and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business units on projects.
