Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, MD seeks a Hardware Tech II (Government) to deliver Tier 2/3 support, site surveys, and hardware installation across on-site locations. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and a valid driver’s license.

You will work with IT teams to maintain network and fiber equipment, follow SOPs, and prepare installation reports while supporting secure government IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years IT experience.
• 8570 Certification; Security+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2/3 support for workstations, servers, printers, and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed diagrams and configuration changes.
• Analyze hardware requirements and develop installation schedules for procurement and deployment.
• Prepare and deliver site installation and test reports; support network upgrade initiatives.
• Build and install specialized interconnecting cables for site needs.
• Train site personnel on hardware usage and maintenance.
• Maintain fiber optic modems, multiplexers, and related equipment for connectivity.
• Adhere to SOPs and utilize ticketing systems for issue tracking.
• Provide timely end-user connectivity support and guidance.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business units on projects.
