Job summary

Grainger is seeking a field-based associate to service multiple customer locations, stock products, and manage customer inventories using KeepStock. You will identify needs, process orders, and collaborate with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.

Responsibilities include following routing software-defined routes, ensuring safety compliance, and improving productivity during site visits across assigned customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a selling or service environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs and/or work in difficult positions
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle different technical and operational issues
• Valid driver's license in state of residence
• Required levels of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations
• Receive and stock purchased products in designated customer locations
• Ensure product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty
• Follow designated routes defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of customer facilities
• Engage customers to identify additional product needs and create new orders
• Probe for customer needs during each site visit
• Work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings
• Manage customer inventory through the KeepStock program
• Support assigned customers and help implement sales strategies for MRO needs
