Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/Industrial Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site capacity.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information.
• Must be based in or able to commute to East London, Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and HR record maintenance.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
• Lead recruitment efforts from sourcing to offer management.
• Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions.
• Administer performance management processes and support development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and company policies in Eastern Cape operations.
• Assist with compensation and benefits administration.
• Contribute to HR programs and initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with employees and management to foster a positive workplace culture.
