Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College in Frederick is seeking a Helpdesk Technician (Info Tech Spec I) to provide first-line support to faculty, staff and students at the Technology Services helpdesk. The role handles daily requests at the assigned site and supports other campus locations as needed.

You will maintain college computers and peripherals, install software, and assist with A/V and networking equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality customer service.
• Ability to use and configure computing devices.
• Experience with Windows 10, macOS, and iOS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• On-site availability and ability to lift 50 lbs and move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I helpdesk support to faculty, staff, and students.
• Handle daily support requests at assigned work location and other campuses.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on computers and peripherals.
• Install and configure software.
• Assist with physical installation of A/V and networking equipment.
• Maintain and upgrade server racks and network components.
