Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) seeks a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install security systems at client sites in the Charlotte area. You will handle access control, video security, intrusion, alarm, infant protection, and intercom systems, ensuring high-quality service.

This role requires two years of experience with commercial security systems, networking skills, and IP familiarity. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1-year experience programming access and video systems.
• Possess minimum factory/internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Must have basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Smartsheet and IP concepts.
• Excellent customer service skills with urgency and responsiveness.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Ability to work independently and safely on site.

Responsibilities

• Responds to all service calls within their assigned area within guaranteed response times and aims to restore system functionality.
• Properly installs systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Ensures all tasks comply with Tech Systems policies and procedures.
• Identifies manufacturer revisions, upgrades, and installs independently.
• Communicates with Customer Service regarding status, progress, and resolutions; updates tickets.
• Accurately accounts for company inventory and resources in possession.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections per policy.
• Assists with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attends to duties assigned by Regional Manager or executive staff.
