Job summary

National General is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster to investigate and evaluate homeowners claims from start to finish. You will manage the entire lifecycle, from facts of loss to settlements, with a focus on excellent customer service and timely communication.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both field and desk settings, an active license or reciprocity-ready, and strong organization. This on-site role covers Hollis Center, ME/York County within a 1-hour radius.

Qualifications

• Active adjuster license preferred or license eligible for reciprocity.
• Experience handling homeowners claims in field and desk settings is preferred.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Estimate damages for complex 1st party homeowner losses.
• Negotiate settlements and document all activities.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors and partners throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
• Ensure compliance with policy types and practices.
• Proactively improve processes and training related to claims handling.
• Maintain mastery in estimating fundamentals for high-severity losses.
