Job summary

National General is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster to investigate and evaluate homeowners claims from start to finish in the Southbury/Bridgeport CT area. You will confirm facts, determine coverage, assess damages, negotiate settlements, and manage the full lifecycle of claims with supplements, ALE, contents, and personal property losses.

Strong organization, proactive approach, and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Xactimate and strong claims-handling background.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage full claim lifecycle including supplements and ALE.

Responsibilities

• Estimate damages for complex 1st party homeowner losses.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Interpret regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiate settlements and document all activities.
• Apply policy knowledge and assist in training and process improvements.
• Support continuous workflow improvements.
