Job summary

National General is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster near Southbury/Bridgeport, CT, to investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish, confirming facts of loss, determining coverage, and negotiating settlements within your authority.

You will manage the full claim lifecycle, including supplements, ALE, contents, and personal property losses, while delivering excellent customer service through clear, timely communication with customers, contractors, and

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xactimate and strong foundation in claims handling.
• Active adjuster license or license eligible for reciprocity in applicable states.
• Experience handling claims in field and desk settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimates damages for complex 1st party homeowner losses.
• Builds strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements and documents all activities.
• Applies policy knowledge and assists leadership in training and process improvements.
