Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate family, is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster for the Hollis Center, ME area within a 1-hour radius. You will investigate homeowners property claims, determine coverage, assess damages, negotiate settlements, and manage the full claim lifecycle from start to finish.

The role requires proficiency in Xactimate, strong organization, and a proactive customer-service mindset to support customers, contractors, and partners through the claims process.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and clear communication for claims handling.
• Knowledge of insurance and property claims processes.
• Ability to negotiate settlements with a focus on customer service.
• Experience handling payments and settlements within claims lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of property claim types and regulatory considerations.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits mastery estimating damages for complex 1st party homeowner claims.
• Builds strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements and documents actions in complex files.
• Applies policy interpretation knowledge and assists training.
• Recommends process improvements to claims handling.
