Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at the Saint Francisville, LA location. You will manage field material control activities for major capital equipment and materials under supervision, ensuring task completion per procedures.

You will interact with project teams, maintain documentation, and support OS&D resolutions while growing in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control preferred.
• 2+ years of on-site experience within large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• 2+ years with Materials Management software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or related procurement systems.
• Interest in Construction Management or Procurement career path.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request documentation and ensure shipment authorizations align with PO terms and Material Control plan.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and understanding the authorization process.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, OS&Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Evaluate material control issues and apply remedies.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Identify and advise on material control risks.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project/department teams.
