Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an HR Administrator to support onboarding, payroll processing, timekeeping, and maintaining accurate employee records for a growing electrical construction team.

The role covers E-Verify, entry of field labor hours, timecard audits, pay-rate changes, apprentice enrollment in RAPIDS, and IRA compliance reporting, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and professional collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in HR admin, payroll or timekeeping
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication across all levels

Responsibilities

  • Participates in new hire orientation and E-Verify process
  • Assists with creating and maintaining employee records
  • Assists with entering of field labor working hours
  • Reviews and reconciles project timecards
  • Runs regular employee classification & pay rate audits
  • Prepare position & pay rate changes
  • Enroll apprentices in RAPIDS system; ensure transfers, suspensions and cancellations are processed in RAPIDS according to the signed state registration standards.
  • Coordinate logistics for online apprenticeship training requirements (maintain computer lab; coordinate employee attendance & progress in adherence to DOL timelines)
  • Troubleshoot and update computer equipment with assistance from IT
  • Ensure the apprenticeship to journeyman ratio is maintained per each apprenticeship program signed standards.
  • Prepare, audit & review required reporting related to IRA program compliance
