Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Field HR Generalist to support field construction operations across west Texas and southeastern New Mexico.

This role partners with Construction Managers, site leaders, and field supervisors to strengthen workforce readiness, supervisor effectiveness, talent decisions, and employee relations in a project-driven EPC environment.

Qualifications

• HR Generalist or similar role supporting an operational or field-based workforce.
• Experience coaching managers or frontline supervisors.
• Independently handle employee relations matters and investigations with support from leveraged capability SME's.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel among project sites

Responsibilities

• Partner with Construction Managers, field leaders and project leadership to align workforce decisions with safety, quality, schedule, productivity, cost and outcomes.
• Maintain field presence and operating cadence across sites, adjusting time based on project phase and workforce needs.
• Coach field leaders to set expectations, give feedback, address issues, and own day-to-day people leadership.
• Support mobilization, ramp-up, transitions and demobilization, including staffing plans and onboarding readiness.
• Advise on staffing needs, onboarding readiness, talent movement and retention risks during mobilization and ramp-up.
• Partner with leaders on talent selection, development, succession and deployment for pivotal field roles.
• Navigate employee relations matters and investigations with sound judgment and timely action.
• Strengthen crew culture, communication, accountability and engagement while upholding a safe environment.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance for field-friendly solutions.
• Distinguish HR judgments from supervisory scope to build supervisor capability.
• Share workforce insights to improve mobilization and field practices.
