Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Field HR Generalist to support field construction operations across west Texas and southeastern New Mexico.

This role partners with Construction Managers, site leaders, and field supervisors to strengthen workforce readiness, supervisor effectiveness, talent decisions, and employee relations in a project-driven EPC environment.

Qualifications

• HR Generalist experience supporting field or operations workforce.
• Experience coaching frontline supervisors.
• Ability to handle employee relations matters independently with SME support.
• Willingness to travel among project sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with construction leaders to align workforce decisions with safety, quality, schedule, and costs.
• Maintain a regular field presence across sites and adjust based on project phase and risk.
• Coach field leaders on performance, feedback, and conduct, ensuring day-to-day people leadership.
• Support mobilization, ramp-up, transitions, demobilization, including staffing and onboarding readiness.
• Advise on workforce considerations during mobilization and deployment.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance for field solutions.
• Differentiate HR judgment vs field leadership to build supervisor capability.
• Share workforce insights across projects to improve mobilization and pipelines.
• Address employee relations matters and workplace investigations with sound judgement.
