Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Field HR Generalist to support field construction operations across west Texas and southeastern New Mexico. This field-facing role partners with Construction Managers and field leaders to strengthen workforce readiness, supervisor effectiveness, and employee relations on project-driven EPC work.

The position emphasizes a hands-on approach with regular site presence, mobility across sites, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• HR Generalist or similar role supporting field workforce.
• Experience coaching managers or frontline supervisors.
• Independently handle employee relations matters with SME support.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel among project sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Construction Managers, general superintendents, field supervisors, and project leadership to connect workforce decisions to safety, quality, schedule, productivity, cost, and outcomes.
• Build a regular field presence and operating cadence across sites, adjusting time based on project phase and risk.
• Coach field leaders to set expectations, provide feedback, address issues, and own day-to-day people leadership.
• Support mobilization, ramp-up, workforce transitions, and demobilization, including staffing plans and onboarding readiness.
• Advise leaders on workforce considerations during mobilization, ramp-up, and deployment, including onboarding readiness and retention risks.
• Partner with leaders on talent selection, development, succession, and deployment for field roles.
• Navigate employee relations matters and workplace investigations with judgment and urgency.
• Help leaders strengthen crew culture and engagement while reinforcing a safe, respectful work environment.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance to deliver field-ready solutions.
• Distinguish between HR judgments and field-leader responsibilities to build supervisor capability.
