Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a Facility Manager I/II to oversee on-site office, shop, and lab facilities, ensuring safe operation and compliance with safety and environmental requirements. This role entails leading work control, facility modifications, and documentation within the Facility Management Division.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High level knowledge of operation/maintenance of HVAC, building automation and facility utilities.
• Significant experience in facility management including maintenance/operations.
• Ability to mentor others through on-the-job training in facility operations and safety.
• Advanced knowledge of safety policies for offices, shops, and hazardous facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and administrative oversight of LLNL facility activities and ensure reliable operation of building systems.
• Maintain awareness of current and future facility infrastructure needs and mitigate risks.
• Analyze data to develop safety basis documentation and work control plans.
• Ensure inventories remain within facility authorization limits in alignment with ES&H requirements.
• Oversee and evaluate activities to ensure work remains within safety basis and risks are controlled.
• Lead regular inspections and walk-throughs, addressing deficiencies and driving closure.
