Job summary

ABB is seeking a Resident Service Technician to deliver on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations. You will perform field service tasks with a focus on electrical/electronic systems, ensuring quality and safety per ABB standards.

You will travel up to 15% for training and support across sites, leveraging your electrical knowledge to diagnose issues and communicate expected service timelines to customers. This role reports to the Service Center Manager-AUPI West Region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field with 5+ years of electrical/electronics or process control experience, or HS diploma with 7+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose up to 240 VAC/870 VDC, and use test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment at customer sites.
• Deliver high-quality technical support and service per work instructions and ABB guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations on-site and communicate timelines clearly.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of needed parts for service activities.
