Job summary

Acentra Health seeks an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) On-site Clinician – Full-time – in San Diego, CA (Licensed in California) to join our growing team.

As an EAP Clinician at Acentra Health, you will provide a full range of EAP services for employees, managers, and the employer organization for a large government agency. Work schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional regional site visits.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Counselor, Therapist, or Clinician in California (behavioral health).
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in the EAP/mental health/substance abuse/behavioral health field.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of EAP services for employees, managers, and employer organizations.
• Direct counseling, incident response, psychoeducational presentations, and outreach services for EAP awareness.
• Refer to treatment services when appropriate and ensure smooth transitions from EAP to treatment.
• Refer clients to community resources to support well-being and mental health.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security policies.
• Maintain caseload and accurate case records per policies and practices.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and maintain professional relationships.
• Communicate scope of EAP services to clients, managers, and staff.
