Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company within AVANGRID seeks a Supervisor – Dispatch & ECC in Orange, CT to lead daily operations, supervise dispatch and field personnel, and ensure efficient gas operations aligned with company requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred, or high school diploma with 13 years of gas ops experience.
• Technically proficient as a gas operations dispatcher.
• Strong knowledge of gas field operations policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors the performance of union and non-union staff, addressing sickness, discipline and work quality.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Corporate regulations, policies and procedures.
• Executes same-day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work; plans and unplans work; ensures productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Directs dispatchers to ensure proper staffing and minimize overtime; meets leak response and customer metrics.
• Reviews construction workload and assigns to contractors in a timely, efficient manner.
• Supervises data entry of completed construction work orders and maintains service cards and documents.
• Processes all State permits and maintains records for them.
• Participates in safety and process improvement programs; responsible for results.
• Provides 24/7/365 on-call coverage in the field.
