Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company, part of Avangrid, seeks a Supervisor – Dispatch & ECC to lead day-to-day gas operations supervision in Orange, CT. The role focuses on coordinating dispatch and field activities to meet safety, reliability, and customer service goals.

Location includes Orange, CT and East Hartford, CT with an on-site work arrangement. Candidate should have substantial gas operations dispatch experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires strong oral and written communication skills.
• Technically proficient as a gas operations dispatcher.
• Solid knowledge of gas field operations policies and procedures.
• Ability to apply dispatch office systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors union and non-union staff performance to ensure efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Corporate regulations and policies.
• Executes same-day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work; plans and assigns work to maintain productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Directs dispatchers to ensure proper staffing, minimize overtime, and meet leak response metrics.
• Reviews construction workload and assigns tasks to contractors in a timely manner.
• Oversees data entry of completed construction work orders and maintains service cards and documents.
• Processes all State permits and maintains records for them.
• Participates in safety and process improvement programs; responsible for results.
• Provides 24/7/365 field coverage on a on-call rotation.
