Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company, part of Avangrid, is seeking a Supervisor - Dispatch & ECC to oversee daily gas operations and dispatch activities in Orange, CT and nearby sites. The role requires coordinating field personnel, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining service quality.

Responsibilities include directing dispatchers, managing workload, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred or high school diploma with 13 years gas ops experience.
• Solid working knowledge of gas field operations policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors performance of union and non-union staff, addressing sickness, discipline, and work quality.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Executes same-day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work, planned and unplanned, to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Directs dispatchers to ensure proper staffing, minimize overtime, and meet leak response and customer appointment metrics.
• Reviews construction workload and assigns to contractors in an efficient, timely manner.
• Supervises data entry of completed construction work orders and maintains service cards and documents.
• Processes all State permits and maintains records for them.
• Participates in safety and process improvement programs and is responsible for results.
• Provides coverage in the field 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
