Job summary

Axiom Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This contract-based, on-demand role requires hands-on technical help for desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals at client locations.

Work assignments will be dispatched by the Service Delivery Team with no guaranteed hours. Immediate start date and local eligibility required; US citizens or green card holders preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
