Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for enterprise clients. You will respond to service requests, offering hands-on assistance for desktops, laptops, network connectivity, and peripherals at client locations.

This contract-based, on-demand role requires reliable availability and strong technical proficiency to ensure timely service delivery and adherence to client security policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic networking understanding (LAN, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in on-site support environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise software.
• Support network connectivity issues including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures during on-site tasks.
