Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Engineer in Sandy, Utah. This role provides first- and second-line support for end users, triaging tickets and coordinating with technicians to resolve issues promptly.

The position requires strong Windows OS knowledge, hardware troubleshooting, and good communication skills. This is an Independent Contractor role with immediate start and local eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop support for Windows operating systems in an on-site environment.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and replacement skills.
• Basic understanding of LAN, switches, and routers for troubleshooting connectivity.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with desktops, printers, and peripherals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals; repair or replace hardware as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues and LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
