Axiom Technologies in Jackson, Wyoming is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Engineer for immediate start. This independent contractor role supports end-users with first- and second-level IT help, triaging tickets and coordinating with the client IT team.

You will troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals, and basic network issues, and document activities for the service delivery team. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works independently on-site, and follows client IT policies

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in on-site environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing on-site tasks.
