Axiom Technologies in Columbus, GA is seeking a capable Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support for enterprise clients. The role covers desk-side troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and network connectivity issues at the client location.

You will install and configure hardware and enterprise software, troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and peripherals, and ensure compliance with client IT policies. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience diagnosing hardware and performing replacement.
Basic networking understanding (LAN, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve printer and peripheral issues.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to work independently in on-site support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop IT support for end users at client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise software.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
