Job summary

Unisys Corporation is seeking an experienced On‑Site Service Engineer to provide hands‑on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next‑generation AI infrastructure. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server hardware in data centers or customer sites.

You will perform rack‑and‑stack, component swaps, BIOS updates, and work with Dell iDRAC; travel to customer sites and participate in on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise servers and data center hardware.
• Direct, hands-on experience with installing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize customer downtime.
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components (memory, CPUs, PSUs, drives, RAID/HBA, NICs, GPUs).
• Rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration.
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.
• Update firmware/BIOS and utilize server management tools such as Dell iDRAC or comparable platforms.
• Execute reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance per procedures.
• Document service activities, replacements, steps, and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate.
• Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required.
