Job summary

Unisys seeks an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on server hardware support in Sparks data center environments, handling Dell PowerEdge systems and other enterprise servers. The role includes installation, repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware.
Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server components on rack-mounted hardware.
Familiarity with BIOS/firmware updates and server management tools.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
Perform hardware installation, replacement, and repair (memory, CPUs, power supplies, drives, RAID/HBA).
Rack-and-stack, cabling, and component swaps.
Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware and OS issues; run diagnostics.
Update firmware and use server management tools (iDRAC or equivalent).
Document service activities and communicate status to customers and teams.
Participate in on-call rotations and travel to customer sites as needed.
