Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Lead to enforce EH&S on a single construction project. You will partner with project teams to ensure compliance with policies, train on safe work practices, and guide management of environmental and hazardous materials reports.

You will lead safety initiatives, assess exposures, develop action plans, and drive zero citations while coordinating with leadership to improve performance and safety awareness on the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field; minimum 4 years construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify safety exposures and lead corrective actions.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and enforce EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Provide safety leadership, manage resources, and coordinate with project teams.
• Assess safety practices, identify exposures, and implement mitigation plans.
• Develop and deliver site-specific EH&S training for management, employees, and subcontractors.
• Promote safe work practices meeting owner requirements and regulatory standards.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and PTPS for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Conduct safety audits, document violations and drive corrective actions.
