Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Lead to enforce site compliance on a single construction project. You will train teams on safe work practices and manage environmental and hazardous materials reports and conditions.

You will develop site-specific safety programs, lead audits, review subcontractor safety plans, and drive improvements to reduce exposures and achieve zero citations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/engineering or related field required.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local EH&S regulations.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and enforce EH&S on a single project per HQ policy.
• Provide safety leadership, allocate time and resources.
• Assess exposures and implement corrective action plans.
• Communicate requirements to leadership and teams for adherence.
• Develop site-specific safety training for management and workers.
• Promote safe work practices in line with regulations and owner requirements.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance and effectiveness.
• Hold preconstruction safety planning meetings and PDCA items.
• Conduct safety audits and issue reports for violations.
• Collaborate with project leadership on safety metrics.
