Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety lead to manage site safety on a single construction project. You will enforce EH&S programs, educate teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across the project within the BU's geographic area.

You will develop training, promote safe work practices, and collaborate with project leadership to reduce incidents while maintaining relationships with subcontractors and site staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field; 4+ years in construction safety.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and enforce EH&S on a single construction project following HQ policy.
• Manage time/resources and provide safety leadership for the project.
• Assess safety practices, develop action plans to mitigate risks, and drive improvements.
• Communicate requirements for performance improvements to project leadership.
• Develop site-specific safety training for management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner trades.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with regulations and owner requirements.
• Collaborate with project staff to create safety reports and recommend improvements.
