Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader to oversee safety on a major construction project and ensure compliance with EH&S programs and regulatory requirements. You will enforce safety practices, train teams, and coordinate with project leadership.

The role requires travel, strong communication, and the ability to develop action plans to mitigate environmental and safety risks across the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within 6 months of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications current.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Experience in incident management and response; able to lead corrective actions.
• Management experience with delegation and performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy; staff safety as defined.
• Build relationships to drive safety culture across project teams.
• Assess exposures and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
• Communicate requirements to project leadership and teams for compliance.
• Lead EH&S training for project leadership, trades, and subcontractors.
• Review environmental reports and regulations; provide guidance to project team.
