Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Omaha, NE seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead site safety on a single construction project. You will enforce EH&S programs, train teams, and manage regulatory requirements with a focus on preventing incidents.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Safety/Health, CHST or progress toward it, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field and 4 years of construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training; First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Develop and deliver safety training to project teams.
• Assess exposures and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
• Prepare safety reports and monitor incident metrics.
