Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Safety Lead to partner with EH&S and project teams on a single construction project within the geographic area. The role enforces site compliance with safety programs and regulatory requirements, and leads training of safe work practices for project teams including subcontractors and Turner trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field and minimum of 4 years of related construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to identify safety exposures and lead corrective actions.
• Familiar with general construction operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Manage time and resource allocation and provide safety leadership.
• Develop and implement action plans to mitigate risks and drive safety awareness.
• Communicate requirements to project leadership and teams for adherence to EH&S policies.
• Develop site-specific safety trainings for management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner trades.
• Promote safe work practices in line with laws and owner requirements.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations.
