Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to enforce site compliance on a major project. You will lead EH&S, train teams on safe work practices, manage exposures, and develop action plans to reduce incidents while meeting regulatory requirements.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Safety, CHST certification, OSHA 30, and 4+ years of construction safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field and minimum of 4 years of construction safety experience
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations
• Ability to identify safety exposures and lead corrective actions tied to construction operations
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project, aligning with HQ EH&S policy
• Manage safety staffing, time, and resources while providing safety leadership
• Assess safety practices, exposures, and develop action plans to mitigate risks
• Communicate safety requirements to project leadership and teams for adoption
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Develop and deliver site-specific safety training and toolbox talks
