Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor in Ohio to support project safety programs, conduct site orientations, and lead safety efforts across projects up to $80M. You will promote a zero-injury safety culture, perform weekly inspections, and coordinate with subcontractors and project staff to ensure OSHA and Clayco standards are met.

Requirements include a safety-related bachelor’s degree, 0-5 years’ safety experience, OSHA 30, 1 year field experience, and ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• 0-5 years of safety experience with a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques.
• 1 year of field experience.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend initial meetings with project staff and subcontractor reps to define safety roles.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor reps to establish procedures.
• Field tasks solo on a project Up to $80M.
• Client interfacing and assisting Site Safety Manager.
• Lead regular weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.
• Provide site safety training per OSHA/Clayco standards and ensure safety logs are maintained.
• Investigate incidents and generate proper reports; enforce corrective actions.
