Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead safety programs across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. You will conduct weekly inspections, coordinate safety training, and mentor crews to foster a zero-injury culture on industrial, commercial, and mixed-use sites.

Responsibilities include developing safety plans, overseeing orientations, and managing subcontractor safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation (required).
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project safety program and drive its implementation.
• Administer and record new employee orientations and participate in kickoff meetings.
• Lead weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff; document toolbox talks.
• Conduct regular site inspections; log violations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and generate proper reports; maintain safety records.
• Support fire prevention and evacuation procedures; coordinate with site leadership.
• Travel to nationwide projects as needed; ensure safety compliance on active sites.
