Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Site Safety Supervisor to support project staff and the safety team in executing corporate safety standards across construction sites. You will drive a zero-injury safety culture, conduct site inspections, and coordinate orientations and safety analyses for new workers on multiple projects.

You will lead safety meetings, train site personnel to OSHA standards, and ensure subcontractors adhere to safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of safety experience or combination of education and years of experience in building construction.
• 5+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction sites; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program and deliverables.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees and record participation.
• Attend initial meetings with project staff and subcontractors to define roles in the safety program.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor representatives.
• Conduct regular weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff; communicate safety expectations.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions; stop unsafe practices immediately.
