Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc seeks a Construction Control Representative to support Fort Hood, TX projects. The on-site QA role monitors contractor performance, ensures contract compliance, and aids successful project delivery from pre-construction through closeout.

The candidate should be a US citizen with DoD/USACE experience, 5+ years of construction oversight, and the ability to review drawings and schedules. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with federal construction projects (DoD, USAF, USACE) preferred.
• Experience inspecting and monitoring construction quality, schedules, contractor performance, and contract compliance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, technical specs, and construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans, specs, schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform daily site inspections and document project activities, contractor performance, safety observations, work progress, and manpower levels.
• Monitor schedules and advise on potential delays, schedule impacts, or performance concerns.
• Review contractor submittals, including shop drawings, quality control plans, safety plans, environmental plans, certifications, and progress schedules.
• Participate in RFIs and coordinate responses with designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, REAs, and contract compliance issues.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and verify compliance with the three-phase inspection process.
• Assist with scopes of work, government estimates, contract modifications, and technical evaluations.
