Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Control Representative for Fort Hood, TX. The on-site role focuses on QA, contract compliance, and monitoring contractor performance from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities include daily site inspections, review of submittals and RFIs, and coordination with designers and engineers. Candidates should have DoD/USACE experience, OSHA knowledge, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; degrees preferred in construction management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with DoD/USACE projects preferred; knowledge of quality control systems is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to interpret drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities for compliance with plans, specs, schedules, safety, and quality.
• Conduct daily site inspections; document progress, safety observations, and manpower levels.
• Monitor schedules; advise team of delays or performance concerns.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, QC plans, safety and environmental plans, and progress schedules.
• Coordinate RFIs and responses with designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Prepare correspondence on contractor performance, REAs, and contract issues.
• Perform quality assurance inspections through all construction phases and maintain records.
• Assist with scope development, estimates, modifications, and technical evaluations.
• Review payment requests and verify quantities and materials on-site.
• Ensure OSHA and EM 385-1-1 compliance; maintain site safety plans.
• Support project meetings, closeout, punch lists, turnover, and warranty tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
