Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Control Representative to support projects at Fort Hood, TX, serving as the on-site QA representative.

The role monitors contractor performance, verifies compliance with contract requirements, and supports project delivery from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience on large construction programs, DoD/USACE exposure, and strong communication and documentation skills,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with federal construction projects, DoD, Air Force, or USACE projects strongly preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specs, schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform daily site inspections and document project activities using RMS and other project management systems.
• Monitor construction schedules and advise the team of potential delays or performance concerns.
• Review contractor submittals, including shop drawings, QC plans, safety/environmental plans, certifications, and progress schedules.
• Participate in review and processing of RFIs, coordinating responses with designers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, REAs, contract compliance issues, and technical concerns.
• Conduct QA inspections throughout all phases of construction and verify compliance with the three-phase inspection process.
• Assist in developing scopes of work, government estimates, contract modifications, and evaluations of contractor proposals.
• Review contractor payment requests and assist in preparing payment estimates, verifying quantities and stored materials.
