Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking a Construction Support Specialist to join our field operations team on a Phoenix, Arizona project. You will coordinate site activities, track progress, ensure adherence to drawings, and support the Project Construction Manager with reporting and subcontractor communications.

Responsibilities include daily reports, quality inspections, and maintaining project records in accordance with the company’s standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus 6 years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure safety, quality standards, and alignment with drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as official project records.
• Take progress photographs and organize labeling for each event.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design drawings revisions are used.
• Provide support to the Project Construction Manager and potentially manage key trades or subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Maintain on-site records and comply with CDM Smith document control standards and quality policies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience

Associate degree plus six (6) years of construction or field operations experience

Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience
